Make a Mini Me

Some fabrics are easier to reuse or recycle than others. I've always found it especially tricky to find uses for sweatshirt scraps. However, now that we have a baby there is a fun way to use up these leftovers: make mini versions of whatever we make!

Blue sweatshirt for a baby

A while ago I made my husband a wearable toile of our sweatshirt pattern. The leftovers from that project have been lying around since. As I finally have my creative motivation back, I drafted a mini version of the sweatshirt in approximately size 9 months and made a miniature copy of my husband's sweatshirt! And afterwards I was surprised to still have leftovers! So maybe once this one doesn't fit anymore, I could even make a bigger one!

Additional ideas for making tiny clothes would be to make clothes for stuffed animals or dolls. That way the toys could even be minis of the littles ones in your life! Hopefully, we were able to inspire you to use your sweatshirt scraps!
